What is spyware?
Spyware is a type of program that is installed on your computer with or without your knowledge. Usually spyware "piggybacks" with installations of other software programs such as Divx, Kazaa, and AOL Instant messenger.

What does spyware do?
Spyware is used mainly by advertising companies who can track your internet browsing habits. This information is sent back to the company so it can send you pop up ads catered to what your interests are. Spyware can also track passwords, personal info, and create annoying malfunctions in your PC.

Who gets spyware?
ANYONE can get spyware. It does not matter if you only use your computer to browse the internet and never intentionally download anything. Spyware can install itself from a website without your knowledge. The only computer safe from spyware is one that has never been connected to the internet.

How can I get rid of spyware?
